".. Buddha wanted us to have as much
perfect pleasure as possible: he certainly did not want us to be
miserable, confused or dissatisfied...our human situation is that
whenever we experience pleasure we get more confused..therefore we need
to gain control of our mind." Lama Thubten Yeshe
In a
weekend of teachings, discussions and meditations, Venerable Pende will
introduce the basic principles of Buddhist Tantra (Vajrayana), as well
as discuss the role of a Spiritual Teacher and empowerment in order to
enter the practice of Tantra.
Venerable Pende will also explore
the three foundations to enter Tantric practice: Renounciation
(abandoning neurosis);Bodhicitta (the totally open heart) and the
Wisdom of Emptiness (non-duality).
Venerable Ngawang Lekshe Pende
was born in Germany in 1965 and practiced in different spiritual
traditions before he became a student of Lama Zopa Rinpoche in 1995. He
studied psychology and worked in a psychiatric hospital. He took
ordination with the great Sakya Lama Chobgye Trichen Rinpoche in 1997
and served as the manager and director of Nalanda Monastery in the
south of France for 8 years. He has done solitary retreat and led many
retreats and introductory courses in different centres in Europe.
