Come and join us for an insightful day of healing ourselves, our loved ones and our planet. As a healer, for me, Tibetan Buddhism offers three concepts that deliver a profound and ultimate source of healing: karma, the nature of mind and the power of great compassion. When this is felt with our whole being, our spirit is infused with light and love which can transform any life circumstance. From there we can receive and give healing to anyone we wish to be well. In our workshop, we will usher ourselves into this healing state with meditation, movement and chanting. Then, we will run life-force energy through our hands to heal fellow workshop participants. We will also do distance healing for particular loved ones and for all beings on the planet. The retreat starts on Friday evening and finishes on Saturday evening.
Participation in the entire retreat is suggested, however, one-time drop-ins are welcome. No prior experience is necessary. We are all healers.
Venerable Nyingje (Paula Chichester) has studied natural healing methods of many kinds over the last 30 years, including chi gong, yoga, Bodytalk, Quantum-touch, flower remedies, nutrition and acupressure massage. During a visit to Dharamsala, India in 1982, inspired by Kyabje Zong Rinpoche, she abandoned a Ph.D. fellowship at UC Berkeley to adopt the lifestyle of a meditator under the guidance of Lama Thubten Yeshe. She ordained as a Buddhist nun, and completed two 4 year solitary retreats. She is now sharing her experience of over 23 years of retreat life, by teaching meditation and leading group retreats, using in her practice healing, music and movement. |
