Shambala Retreat Centre is located in the north-east of Scotland in the picturesque village of Findhorn at the edge of Findhorn Bay. It is about 25 miles east of Inverness, 85 miles west of Aberdeen and just 5 miles from Forres.
by Air:
There are regular flights to Inverness and/or Aberdeen airport from both local and international airports.
Stagecoach is offering a bus service from Inverness Airport to Forres. You can also take a taxi at the airport (Central Highlands Taxis, tel: 01463 710 000). Your journey to Findhorn takes about 35 – 40 minutes.
From Aberdeen airport there is an hourly bus service by Bluebird (No 10; No 305) to Forres (journey time around 2 and half hours). You can also take a train from Dyce (about 5 minutes from the airport with a taxi) to Forres (journey time 1 hour 30 minutes).
by Road:
Travelling from the south via Edinburgh or Glasgow join the A9 at Perth. 5 miles past Aviemore, take the right turn onto the A95 to Grantown-on-Spey and then the A939 / A940 to Forres. If driving from Inverness, take the A96 and follow the signs to Forres and Aberdeen.
At the roundabout in Forres take the B9011 to Kinloss and Findhorn. Turn leftt after the petrol station in Kinloss, following the sign to Findhorn. Follow the road for about 1 mile, pass the entrance to the Findhorn Foundation on your right and enter the Shambala driveway in front of a round house (careful – sharp left turn!).

by Train: Scotrail (Tel: 0845 6015929) offers services from the south to Inverness or Aberdeen with easy connections to Forres. You can also buy discounted train tickets for travel along the whole UK network from Gner (Tel: 08457 225 225).
by Bus: National Express (Tel: 08705 808080) operates express services from London, and Scottish Citylink (Tel: 08705 505050) from Glasgow and Edinburgh to Inverness. Megabus offers a low cost internet based alternative to inter-city bus travel. Bluebird Buses (Tel: 01224 591381) are operating a regular service from Forres to Findhorn.
